Perhaps one of the most important functional advancements of early 1900’s was the transformation of woolen waisted suit trousers and knickers, formerly standard wear of alpinists of the 1800’s, into a bibbed “lederhosen" which eventually traded buttons for zip fastenings. Alps & Meters’ Ascent Bib revisits the creative leap associated with the first top-to-bottom trousers adopted by Gentlemen Alpinists of the Golden Age and beyond.
Inspired by the pioneering spirit of the gentlemen adventurers who achieved first ascents & explorations during the late 19th century, this bib combines classic design and materials with modern functionality.
Crafted with a Swiss engineered Schoeller waterproof wool blend, the Ascent Bib offers unparalleled protection. Featuring a 3-layer Schoeller wool-blend shell fabric fortified with "C-Change" technology the Ascent Shell provides a 20k/20k waterproof rating, shielding off-piste Alpinists from extreme and variable weather including wind, snow, and rain.
With a high-waisted suspender design enhancing coverage while providing a stronger sealant against the elements, this tailored bib ensures all-weather protection, keeping you dry and comfortable throughout your ski mountaineering adventures.

The RECCO reflector makes the wearer searchable to rescuers. RECCO reflectors are lightweight passive transponders that require no power or activation to function, consisting of a diode and an antenna built directly into the jacket.
RECCO reflectors are designed to last a lifetime and do not age or wear out. If not mechanically damaged they will last forever.
