This Privacy Policy describes how Alps & Meters, LLC (“Alps & Meters,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) collects, uses and discloses customer information. This Privacy Policy covers the Alps & Meters website available at (“Site”) and related services, including services related to the purchase of our products (collectively, such services, together with the Site, “Service”). Personal Information we collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

    Our ecommerce store is built and hosted on Shopify, which allows us to sell our products to you. In order to do this, Shopify uses a series of cookies to power our online store. More information about these specific is available here:


    We use Fits Me to make sizing recommendations for each of our garments based on information that you provide. This tool uses a persistent cookie to remember the information you provide for future visits, which can be turned off directly in the tool. The tool also uses a session cookie, so they don’t have to re-enter your information if the tool is closed during your session. We also use this persistent cookie to track on-page events. These cookies are fired at the start of the shopper’s session and expire shortly following the end of the session.


    Used to collect information about how visitors use our website. The cookies collect information including pages visited and where users come from in an anonymous way, and this information is used to improve our website.


    We use Facebook to deliver customized advertisements to users who visit our website.


    We use Criteo to deliver customized advertisements to users who visit our website.


    We use Olark to deliver live chat support to users who visit our website.

    - “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

    - “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

    Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

    When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

    How do we use your personal information?

    We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

    • Communicate with you;
    • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
    • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

    We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

    When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.


    The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 13.


    We take reasonable precautions and abide by, at minimum, standard industry practices to assist us in protecting your personal information and payment card data. These safeguards help us to prevent fraud and unauthorized access as well as maintain data accuracy.

If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page, with the “Effective Date” posted at the top of the Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes to our Privacy Policy or how we handle your personal information, we will notify you via a pop-up or banner within the Site or Service, by sending an email to your account email address, or through similar mechanisms, prior to the change becoming effective.
